Gerry O'Mahony: Limerick born artist studied at LSAD and graduated as an art teacher. Having taught art at second level for a number of years he traveled and worked in Israel for two years. In 1986 he spent a year in Malawi working in a Socio-Economic Project before returning to Ireland in 1986. His first solo show was at the Belltable Arts Centre, Limerick in 1989. He has had several one-person shows nationally including an invitation by the Arts Council to show his work as part of the “Small Exhibitions” series in Dublin. His most recent one-person show was in The South Tipperary Arts Centre, Clonmel, in July 2011. He has been a member of Contact Studios Limerick since 2005.
